CLEAR & PERFECT POLICY
01

Who we are

Clear & Perfect is a UK-based freelance copywriting and editing service. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, why we have it, and your rights, in line with UK data protection law.

02

Enquiries, clients and project information

When you contact us through our website, by email or in any other way, we collect the information you provide, such as your name, job title, organisation, email address, and the details of your enquiry. If you become a client, we also hold the information needed to deliver our services, such as project briefs, correspondence, and any other information you choose to share with us.

03

Business contacts and why we may have contacted you

We may also obtain professional contact information from publicly available sources or reputable third-party business data providers, and contact relevant organisations about Clear & Perfect’s copywriting and editing services. We usually contact corporate businesses (for example, limited companies, LLPs, or other organisations), and we do not target individuals for personal, non-business purposes. We use this information for legitimate business interests. You can object to this at any time (see section 07).

04

How and why we use your information

We use personal information to respond to enquiries, provide and manage our services, communicate with clients and business contacts, send relevant information, and keep records for legal and regulatory purposes. Our lawful bases are set out in the relevant sections below.

05

Our service providers and international transfers

We use trusted third-party service providers to help us run our website, email, project management, payment, and other essential services. Some providers may process data outside the UK, in which case reasonable safeguards are in place.

06

Retention

We keep personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this policy, including to meet legal, tax, and regulatory requirements.

07

Your rights (including direct marketing and objections)

You have rights under UK data protection law, including the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability, and to object. You can object to direct marketing at any time, and we will stop contacting you for marketing purposes.

08

Cookies and website technology

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to help it function, understand how it is used, and improve your experience. You can manage your cookie preferences through your browser settings. We do not use cookies for advertising.

09

If you have a complaint about how we use your information, you can contact us at the details below or raise it with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). We may update this policy from time to time, and will post the latest version on this page with a revised date.
